1. Summary
- No analytics, tracking or marketing tools, no advertising.
- No third-party content: no external fonts, maps, videos, social media plug-ins or CDNs.
- No cookie banner needed: a cookie is only set if you switch the language yourself.
- Messages sent via the contact form are delivered to us by email and not stored in the website database.

3. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by united-domains GmbH, Gautinger Straße 10, 82319 Starnberg, Germany, under a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. According to the host, the web space is operated by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Straße 57, 56410 Montabaur, in data centres in Germany, which uses Amazon Web Services, Inc. as a sub-processor. Insofar as access from a third country (USA) cannot be ruled out, the safeguards required under Art. 44 et seq. GDPR (e.g. EU-US Data Privacy Framework or EU Standard Contractual Clauses) are governed by the host's data processing agreement.
On every request the server automatically records: the requested domain and page or file, the IP address of the requesting device, date and time, request method (e.g. GET or POST) and the referrer URL (if transmitted). This is technically necessary to deliver the website and keep it secure. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR. Log files are deleted after 14 days, including any backup copies.
4. Cookies and storage on your device
We do not use cookies or similar technologies for analytics, marketing or tracking. No cookie is set during a normal visit; the display language is chosen from your browser's language setting without storing anything.
Only if you actively change the language using the "DE / EN" switch is the following cookie set:

This cookie is strictly necessary for the function you explicitly requested, contains no identifier that could be used to recognise you and is not shared with third parties. No consent is required. You can delete it at any time in your browser.
For people who log in to the WordPress administration area (only our editors), WordPress sets technically necessary login cookies (e.g. wordpress_logged_in_*, wp-settings-*). Website visitors are not affected.
5. Contact form and email
If you contact us via the contact form or by email, we process the data you provide (name, email address, optionally company, your message) as well as the time of the enquiry and the selected language in order to respond to your enquiry.
How the form works: after submission, your details are transmitted to our web server in encrypted form (HTTPS) and delivered from there as an email to our mailbox kontakt@aiit-node.com. The message is not stored in the website database. We keep the email in our mailbox for as long as needed to handle your enquiry.
Abuse protection: we do not use any external captcha service. To prevent mass spam, we store a pseudonymised check value (cryptographic hash) of your IP address for 10 minutes; the IP address itself is not stored. The value then expires and is deleted automatically.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to entering into or performing a contract, otherwise Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in responding to your enquiry and preventing abuse. Providing your data is voluntary, but we cannot process your enquiry without a name, email address and message.
Retention: we delete your enquiry once it has been fully dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations (in particular under commercial and tax law) apply – for example if the enquiry leads to a contract.
Note: emails are usually transport-encrypted between mail servers, but end-to-end encryption is not guaranteed. Please do not send particularly sensitive information via the form or unencrypted email.
6. Recipients and transfers to third countries
Your data is processed only by us and by service providers bound by contract under Art. 28 GDPR (hosting and email). We only pass data to other third parties if we are legally obliged to do so. We do not sell data. For a possible third-country aspect of hosting see section 3; beyond that, we do not transfer personal data to countries outside the EU/EEA.
7. No external services or embeds
This website does not load content from third-party servers. In particular, it does not use web analytics or tag managers, external fonts (your device's system fonts are used), embedded maps, videos or social media posts (such embeds are technically disabled), social media plug-ins, advertising networks, CDNs, or external captcha or spam-filter services.
8. Links to OpenStreetMap, phone and email
For directions we link to OpenStreetMap. No map is embedded; only when you click the link are you taken to the OpenStreetMap Foundation's website, whose privacy policy then applies. Phone and email links simply open the corresponding app on your device.
9. SSL/TLS encryption
For security reasons this website uses SSL/TLS encryption, recognisable by "https://" and the padlock symbol in your browser bar.
10. WordPress
This website is based on the WordPress content management system. Comments, public user registration and third-party profile pictures (Gravatar) are disabled. The server connects to wordpress.org for updates; no personal data of visitors is transmitted in the process.
11. Your rights
Subject to the statutory requirements, you have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20 GDPR).
Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR): where we process your data on the basis of Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR, you may object to this processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation.
An informal message to kontakt@aiit-node.com is sufficient to exercise your rights. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR); for us this is the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, Alt-Moabit 59–61, 10555 Berlin (www.datenschutz-berlin.de). No automated decision-making including profiling (Art. 22 GDPR) takes place.
12. Changes to this privacy policy
We update this privacy policy whenever changes to our processing activities or the legal situation make it necessary. The current version published on this page always applies.
